I love that the Le Collectif workshop hosts decided to do a few smaller shoots to compliment the full day wedding at Kestrel Park. For this shoot, they focused on inspiration for the modern bride at Kestrel Park utilizing unexpected colors – like a brighter teal blue.
The wedding invitation was designed on brightly colored paper. With bold typeface and negative space it felt fresh and modern. I loved the use of petite binder clips on the menu to include each guests’s name.
Set up on the edge of the reflection pool at Kestrel Park, the reception felt cool and calm, overlooking the mountains in the background. The linen had a clean diamond pattern that played into the shape of the flatware and the marble candle holders. The plates brought in the colors of the invitation suite with the folded velvet napkin. The continuous centerpiece made an impressive statement.
Our bride wore a Sarah Seven gown with a beaded bodice and a silky skirt with a high slit. Her bouquet was made up of garden roses, white anthurium and soft blue tweedia. Her pearl earrings matched the pearl details on her Bella Belle heels. My favorite images have to be the ones of her walking next to the reception table, reflecting in the pool.
