One of our goals for 2016 and 2017 was to be featured in a wedding magazine. We had a few images in magazines over the years – but not a wedding magazine. Up to this point, our biggest victory was being in “VegNews” magazine for a vegan wedding we photographed in St. Pete. It was slightly disappointing to see that they didn’t credit any of the vendors in the magazine though, so that high crashed pretty quickly (but they did credit us online – although they still skipped all of the other vendors – sigh).
Then, in January of 2018, we finally got the email that I had been waiting for. After countless rejections, I finally saw that “congratulations” in my inbox! Bryant and Pamela’s Tampa Museum of Art wedding was going to be printed in The Knot! Now we just had to wait months and months and months to hold it in our hands!
During the acceptance and the time that it hit newsstands, Thomas and I moved across the country. So, unfortunately I still haven’t had that moment of being able to walk into Publix or Target and pick up a copy of The Knot with our work in it – but that’s okay – I know it will happen some day!
