For the last session of 2020, I had the privilege of photographing Alexis and Oscar for their Rodeo Beach engagement session. Alexis is a joy. She has so much good energy. She has the best smile and radiates enthusiasm. I hadn’t met Oscar up until this point, so I was very excited to meet the man that captured this incredible woman’s heart. I was not disappointed! He complimented Alexis perfectly and the two of them bring joy to the people around them. It is so easy to see how they ended up together!

Alexis and Oscar met through a friend while they were wine tasting in Napa. They connected on both being college athletes and the dedication that comes along with that. From there, their relationship quickly evolved and they began dating. Together, they fit each other perfectly. Oscar is a listener, Alexis is more talkative. Alexis is independent and passionate, Oscar is calm and driven. They both really value family and their heritage. Together, they are a power couple!

On the day of their engagement session at Rodeo Beach we had the most beautiful weather. It was crisp and sunny with just enough wind. The light was beautiful as we settled in against the cliffy rocks on the north side of the beach. Alexis wore a plum silk skirt with an oversized, chunky sweater. And will you look at her incredible engagement ring?! Oscar wore dark jeans and an off white jacket. I love the way their looks complimented each other with the layers.

As the sun set, we headed over to Cavallo Point and the marina to snap a few photos near the Golden Gate Bridge. Alexis had always dreamed of taking engagement photos by the water with the bridge and I’m so glad we were able to capture their love against this backdrop.

Alexis and Oscar, thank you for being such a delight! I have a smile on my face just thinking back to this day and how accommodating you were with my somewhat crazy pose prompts towards the end. I can’t wait to be surrounded by your energy again this summer! I’m so happy you two found each other!
