I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again – Amy from Gather Design Company is incredibly talented! This past year I had the opportunity to join her team and take brand photos for a handful of events, and this North Bend wedding was definitely a favorite. Spending weekends with Amy during a hard year was definitely a highlight. Having the opportunity to feel creative but not have the full blown stress of a wedding day was so welcomed!
This North Bend wedding took place at the bride’s childhood home. Guests received simple square letterpress invitations. Along with the invitation came a velum insert with a simple floral sketch and Ed and Jess’s scripted names. On the day of the wedding, as guests arrived, they were welcomed with a massive floral structure.
The bridesmaids each carried a single variety bouquet. The white blooms looked so lush against their midnight blue silk gowns. Jess wore her hair down with a middle part. Her Sarah Seven gown had an asymmetrical top that graced her left shoulder.
The ceremony for this wedding was remarkable. The view of the North Bend mountains took my breath away. While the rain drizzled all morning, the sun came out just in time for the ceremony. At the front of the alter, Gather Design Company created an arrangement that appeared as if it was growing right out of the ground. Arrangements sat behind the bistro chairs that were separated for social distancing.
The reception consisted of two extended family tables. Bud vases and low compote arrangements flowed across the center of the table. Guests sat under bistro lights as the clouds rolled over the mountains. It was a spectacular day!
Finally, I want to give Malorie Kerouac a shoutout for being so gracious and letting me shoot alongside her that day. Thank you, thank you.
