This year has been hard. It’s been heavy. Many people have been struggling. It has definitely affected the wedding industry. From the heartbroken couples that have had to put their weddings on hold to the event professionals that are having their income and passion put on pause – it has been hard. But, we are resilient! We have all learned to find the silver linings. This season has taught us all a lesson regarding what is truly important.
It has also taught many of us to pivot. While large weddings have had to be adjusted, micro weddings have become a thing. Pleasanton Rentals came up with a great idea to bring three teams of talented east bay wedding vendors together to design different micro weddings at The Ranch at Birch Creek.
The first team, comprised of Parker Grace Events and Sarah’s Garden Design, focused on a juicy citrus design with bright yellows and contrasting deep blues. Set up in the entrance of the ranch, the pebbled driveway was the perfect backdrop for European vibes. The French chairs and the pops of citrus throughout the table were perfect!
The second team of LC Floral Design and Plan to be Wowed centered their design around equality. They used woven rugs in their ceremony design to signify that we are all woven together to create the tapestry of humanity. Similarly, the table number displayed an equal sign – we all should be treated equally. They also included a favor of hand soap – fitting for the times!
Finally, Heart & Arrow Weddings teamed up with Enchantment Floral for a boho design including some dried floral elements. Blaire from Freshly Fuji designed an invitation suite that mirrored the ceremony backdrop. The textures used throughout this design really pulled me in.
And a big thank you to all of the vendors that participated on the grand scale: Rentals: Pleasanton Rentals // Hair and Makeup: Status Salon Agency, Jennifer Hatcher Hair, Makeup By Adele // Bridal Boutique: J’Adore Bridal // Venue: The Ranch at Birch Creek
