After getting ready at a family home in downtown Carmel, Lucia and Matt shared a first look at Bernardus. We spent some time walking the charming grounds together through the beautiful gardens and lavender.

Their ceremony was held in the rose garden. An asymmetrical deconstructed floral arch was a gorgeous backdrop- along with the mountains of Carmel. The florist used so many bright, fun colors in the pieces she created for this event. Matt and Lucia both wiped back tears as they exchanged vows. There is something even more beautiful about getting married when there is a baby on the way – and this is truly the first chapter of them as a family.

The dinner under the trellis took everyone’s breath away. Draped with twinkle lights, the one long table truly allowed everyone to feel like family as Matt and Lucia celebrated their marriage. A three-piece band serenaded the guests throughout the meal. Although not planned, Matt and Lucia shared a first dance by the twinkle lights. It was such a sweet moment and it made me feel grateful that their day unfolded in a way where they could have a sweet, spontaneous moment.

Lucia & Matt, thank you so much for including us in your celebration – it was so heartwarming to be there and witness your emotions throughout the day. We wish you all the best on this next chapter together – I know you’re going to be incredible parents!
