Capturing any love story is always an honor, but documenting another photographer’s life is so special. When Caitlin reached out to me about doing an at home portrait session in Napa with her husband Alex and their loving dog, Finn, she mentioned wanting some new headshots that represented her brand but it became so much more than that. This session was so fun! Doing sessions indoors isn’t my typical style – but this is experience is making me want to change that! Caitlin is one of those people who makes you feel like you’ve been best friends for years. She welcomed me in, handed me a lemon tart and a glass of champagne, and we started catching up right away. She gave me a tour of her beautiful home that she and Alex have renovated for the last seven years. And her decorating style? I felt like I was walking into a home decor magazine!! This girl has it all – and I’m so glad that I get to call her a friend!

We did the majority of photos in the heart of the home – the kitchen. Their two toned cabinets and mixed metal fixtures were so gorgeous. And how could I forget that herringbone tile? Kitchen of my dreams! I’m so impressed by how these two designed and updated this space (check out her before and afters here).

After puppy snuggles on the couch, we headed out to one of their favorite local parks in Napa. Those golden fields and views will forever be a favorite! It was a bright, windy day, but Caitlin and Alex were true naturals in front of the camera. I had the best time getting to know them both and hearing about their business. Their passion for their couples is evident.
