Allie and Jimmy have been a blast to work with! Despite their whirlwind timeline for wedding planning (hey, Covid threw a wrench in a lot of plans…) it feels like we’ve been friends for years! They have such an easy-going and grateful attitude. They are the kind of people who appreciate the little things. They are adventurous. It is easy to see how these two feel in love. Thomas and I were so excited to meet them at one of their favorite places for their Gray Whale Cove engagement session.

Jimmy and Allie met through volunteering with the Peace Corps. While they technically met during training in Atlanta, their relationship formed while in Costa Rica in a small rural community. They both pursued a community economic development track where they helped businesses around the community with projects and improving their infrastructure. Being surrounded by a new community, these two bonded quickly over their shared experience. And enjoying coconuts and pineapples together didn’t hurt! After a bungee jumping trip, Jimmy asked Allie to be his wife. With an incredible ocean view in the background, Allie said yes!

Unfortunately, their time with the Peace Corps was cut short due to covid, however, they are living in the bay area and making the most of their new home. They’ve been staying busy with new jobs and a new dog that they adopted, Buttercup! On top of that, they’ve been busy planning their wedding! They weren’t sure if they were going to need to postpone (for a second time) until a few months ago, so they have been working hard to tie up loose ends before this upcoming weekend!

Allie and Jimmy – we are so excited to celebrate with you on Sunday! Truly, you two are a breath of fresh air. You filled my cup in a way that I didn’t know I needed. Your passion for life and people is contagious. We are thrilled to be capturing your story!
