I absolutely love photographing Julia and Alex, so you better believe I was so excited when their Casa Real wedding day was finally here! To start the day off, Julia and Alex had an intimate tea ceremony with their family. Julia wore a traditional red gown as they paid their respects to their family – serving them tea. After the tea ceremony, Julia got ready with the help of her bridesmaids, and she looked absolutely incredible in her fitted Monique Lhuillier lace gown. Her hair was pulled back to the side to keep it out of her face, and in it, she wore a beautiful beaded hairpiece. Alex, always looking so sharp, was in a black tux with a simple rose boutineer.
Julia and Alex did a first look in the front of Casa Real by the fountain and greenery. I just love how much they laughed and smiled in those moments after seeing one another. It is so clear that they bring each other so much joy (puts a smile on my face just thinking about it).
Casa Real weddings are so beautiful – with vineyards surrounding the stone building, it is elegant and provides a variety of backdrops for photos! We took Julia and Alex out to the front of the property for portraits before documenting the wedding party by the main building. I loved the bridesmaids dresses – all mismatched beaded gowns from Adrianna Papell & Aidan Mattox.
The wedding ceremony was held in the back lawn under the arched greenery. They exchanged personal vows that they had written separately – declaring their love in front of their closest friends and family. So many of the guests and wedding party wiped tears away throughout the service.
The reception was held in the reception room – and the incredible crystal chandelier was the centerpiece of the space! Watching Julia and Alex share their first dance beneath it was magical. The evening continued with toasts, dancing, and some incredible golden hour portraits in the Casa Real vineyard!
Julia and Alex, thank you for always putting a smile on my face! You two are so joyful – your energy is contagious! It is clear you are adored by so many in your life, and I’m so glad your mutual friend introduced you – you’re meant to be! Congratulations on taking this next step together! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both! Hugs!
