Another year is coming to a close – and this one seemed like a whirlwind. Why is it that as we get older, time seems to pass by even faster? Slow down, time, I’m still trying to catch up!
I love putting these blogs together – documenting how far we’ve come, even in just one year. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities we’ve received. Every wedding, every engagement session, every headshot, every referral, every like, comment and share. Really, it means the world to me and none of it would be possible without you. So thank you for your support! I hope you know how much it means!
In 2015, Thomas and I…
- photographed 17 weddings
- captured 20 engagements and other sessions
- took over 7,500 film photos (all of the images shared below were shot on film 🙂 )
- made awesome friends along the way (I’m talking to you friendors and couples!!)
- joined the Rising Tide Society and connected with oodles of awesome creatives
- were published 38 times on wedding and photography blogs
- photographed our first elopement (more please!!)
- attended a workshop in Nashville
- attended a workshop in France (take me back!!)
- helped pull together a watercolor themed styled shoot that featured the couple from the first wedding we ever photographed
- helped plan a citrus/brunch themed styled shoot that will featured in the Spring (woot!)
- planned a travel elopement styled shoot inspired by an Etsy shop
- shot for the total fun of it next to a shipwreck in California with one of my best friends, Brielle
- survived having film lost (and found) in the mail
- successfully shot a wedding after fainting
- converted over to all Canon digital equipment
- somehow managed to purchase another film camera (eek – my bad, bank account, my bad!)
- added four new states to our “travel for photography” list (what up WI, CA, NC, and MA?)
- shot black and white film for the first time
- and after that … we almost broke even! 🙂 Next year!!
Also, one final huge thank you for Thomas. Somehow he gives up every weekend to stand by my side during all of this. Not to mention, he listens to me talk about it for hours every week day. He deserves more credit than I could ever list.
Here’s to hoping 2016 is filled with even more adventure, film, opportunities, and love.
