When The Orlo wedding venue popped up as Tampa’s newest event space, Jennifer of Bourbon and Blush knew she had to put a shoot together in this historic home. Built in 1882, this space is filled with history. Through the renovations, the owners wanted to keep the charm and many of this historical details, from the oversized front door to the classic window panes. The ballroom, previously used for the Women’s Club, still stands today and is the perfect balance between modern and historic, simple and extravagant. From these contrasting ideas, the inspiration for this shoot was born.
Jennifer worked with Inna Olimpiyuk of Still Floral to concept the perfect wedding to fit inside of this elegant home. The color scheme was subtle, with white and apricot blooms. Working with beautiful flowers from California , Inna provided simple, yet extravagant arrangements. The grand staircase lined with flowers took my breath away!
Our bride, Shelby, got ready in the all white bridal suite. She put on her tulle and lace Daalarna Couture gown from The Bride. Her has was swept delicately back, thanks to Jessica from Beaute Savage. Shelby’s makeup was fresh, clean, and elegant.
The lounge area, provided by MMD Events, welcomed guests into The Orlo. The French chair and love seat were the perfect options for this event.
After portraits, the couple headed into the grand ballroom for dinner, provided by Salt Block Hospitality. Still Florals’s centerpieces were the perfect table runner. I simply cannot get enough of the French dinning chairs from MMD Events! They make such an elegant statement! Kate Ryan provided the perfect beige linen to compliment the whole look. The place settings were classic and simple, with calligraphy from Blush Design Studios letting guests know where to take a seat. The meal itself was delicious. Chicken, steak, scallops, paired with a chardonnay, each more delicious than the next.
Finally, the event concluded with a vanilla cake courtesy of J’aime Cakes, which tasted just as delicious as it looked!
We’re so excited to be featured over on JoyWed for the first time with this shoot!
Finally, a big, big round applause and thank you to the vendors that pulled this together!
