When I found out that Thomas was interviewing for his new job in San Francisco, I messaged Janine, of Janine Licare Photography. She’s a talented and super kind photographer based in SF that I met last November while attending a workshop in Charleston. As an adult, it is always a little hard making friends, but Janine was so kind and toured me all around the city showing off all of her favorite spots for photos. That first day we spent hours together and everything felt right! We just clicked. Since then, she has continued to extend her kindness towards me and showed me the ropes of shooting elopements at San Francisco City Hall. She had one on the calendar and invited me to tag along and was gracious enough to let me take photos too!

Jaci and Joel met through a running club (woof – sounds like a challenge for me – but good for them!!). Apparently with this running club they run through the city following “arrows” that are chalked out on the ground ahead of time. The arrows eventually lead to a bar or pub where the whole group enjoys a few drinks at the end of the evening.

For their elopement at City Hall, Joel and Jaci shared a first look on the 4th floor. The light was divine up there. It was clear that Jaci and Joel were so excited to finally see each other and celebrate this day! Joel wore a handsome black tux. I’m not going to lie, I was envious of his hair! Jaci wore a ruched white dress with beaded straps. Her hair was pulled back to the side with an accent braid.

After their elopement at City Hall, we toured around their favorite spots in the city – ending the day at Sutro Baths. It was the perfect introduction into the iconic SF City Hall and I’m so grateful to Janine for the opportunity!!
