Nicole and Jarrod. Just thinking about these two puts a smile on my face! Separately, they are both awesome, funny, and caring individuals – but together, they are even better – truly bringing out the best in one another (along with a whole lot of laughter and smiles!). We just adore them! Their wedding at the Museum of Fine Arts was truly a joy to photograph! It was one of those days where everything goes according to plan. Nothing was stressful. We all just enjoyed it, as the pieces came together.
Nicole and Jarrod got ready for their wedding at the Vinoy – which is such a great location in St. Pete! Nicole rented out a suite with so much natural light! It even had its own balcony overlooking the pool! Throughout the morning, Nicole shed some tears – in the best way. When her bouquet arrived, she saw the charms with her and Jarrod’s grandpas wrapped around the stems, and the tears started. As she read the note that Jarrod sent her way the morning of the wedding, the tears continued. And when she saw her dad for the first time, they kept coming. I’m pretty sure we all cried at some point – it was impossible not to!
Jarrod and Nicole had their first look at the Vinoy on the 2nd floor balcony. I love this moment so much! All of the anticipation and nerves come to a head when you see each other for the first time. And that first hug, all of the nerves melt away and you’re just left with excitement and a feeling of familiarity! My favorite! Nicole looked amazing in her Stella York gown with the most incredible lace train! Her wavy hair was left down and pushed to one side. Jarrod wore a navy suit – complete with a vest – and a pink tie. Nicole had gifted him socks with their cat’s faces on them! She also made cufflinks for him that had her handwriting on them for the wedding day – so incredibly thoughtful!
We all made our way over to the Museum of Fine Arts for the wedding ceremony overlooking the water. Nicole and Jarrod performed a sand ceremony – utilizing sand from the beach where they got engaged. What I found to be the most meaningful, was that Jarrod used his late father’s gold wedding band as his own. I love that the ring not only represents his love for Nicole, but the fact that he has his dad with him everywhere he goes.
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour in the museum’s garden. The reception at the Museum of Fine Arts had tropical vibes and gold geometric shapes throughout – tying in the theme found throughout their day and their invitation suite. Everyone enjoyed the dances, toasts, and delicious food at the wedding reception!
Nicole and Jarrod, your wedding day was truly wonderful for so many reasons! Thank you for being such a joy throughout the whole planning process – I am sad that we don’t just live 15 minutes away anymore, because I know we would have enjoyed sharing meals with you both. I wish you two the absolute best on this next chapter of your lives! I can’t wait to hear about everything you two accomplish together!
