We’ve been waiting to meet Laura and Johan for over a year. With travel restrictions and so much uncertainty, it took awhile for us to finally pin down a time and location to get together for their engagement photos – but it was worth the wait! Their Vizcaya engagement session in Miami didn’t disappoint. The March weather was showing off for us – and the light was beautiful in the late afternoon. Plus, Laura wore the cutest dresses!

Laura and Johan’s story begins at Duke – where they both went to college. Although they didn’t start dating until they reconnected in New York City after graduation. Johan’s job moved him to Sweden – and these two mastered long distance for some time – traveling the world when they were together. Johan proposed to Laura in Malta after touring around the city with a full blown scavenger-hunt (complete with powerpoint). At the end of the day, they watched the sun set at a scenic beach and Johan proposed.

One benefit of the pandemic was that Laura was able to work remotely from Sweden, so they could be together. And now – they’ve relocated and purchased a home in Miami! Something to celebrate for sure. We are excited that we were able to capture a little slice of their time in Miami to look back on.

To say that we are looking forward to their wedding this July in Tahoe would be an understatement! A wedding we’ve been anticipating for two years, it will be a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by family and friends as these two celebrate their marriage.

Laura and Johan, we loved spending the afternoon with you and dining for hours past sunset. It was such a treat to enjoy a delicious meal and get to know you both better. We can’t wait to see you again in a few short months! Let’s do this!
