Yuri & Cole crossed paths for years as they were growing up. They both grew up sailing in southern California. While they didn’t interact much, there was a familiarity and recognition when they found themselves on the sailing team at a local university. Still, the spark didn’t ignite quite yet. However, after graduation and starting their individual adult lives, they both attended the same festival and bumped into each other. Cole invited Yuri out on a date (even though she may not have realized it was a date) and things grew naturally from there.
In November 2021 they were on a surf trip in Costa Rica and Cole proposed one evening as they walked along the beach. They’ve been enjoying their engagement for the last year and we were thrilled when they reached out about their wedding in Yosemite this upcoming summer! These two are adventurous and we love the idea of making new memories in unique places.
For their engagement session, we started the day at Twin Peaks. Thomas and I had never been up to this part of the city and the view was spectacular. Yuri and Cole live close by and often find themselves here on their runs. For the second part of their session we walked down to Marshall’s Beach. We had it all to ourselves and the view of the bridge was so pretty. These two were so playful together and down for anything!
Yuri & Cole – we are so excited to work with you this year! Knowing you two, I can only imagine how fun your wedding is going to be! I love the positive, playful energy you two have together. Thanks for letting us join along for the ride!
