At the end of October, we flew down to San Diego for Kristine and Jason’s Sunset Cliffs engagement session. We have been emailing them for over a year and rescheduled this session numerous times – so to say we were excited to finally meet them would be an understatement! So much has changed since they first inquired, but these two have made the most of the situation. After their lease expired, they left SF and headed up north to Washington to explore a new part of the country. Spending the weekends in fresh air and nature, they felt refreshed in a way that city life can’t always provide. Over the last few months, they’ve found new long term rentals and spent time in Southern California and they’re soon heading to Colorado. We were able to connect with them in San Diego and had such a great day with them!

Kristine and Jason met at work a decade ago. Although love didn’t seem like it was in the cards after their first few interactions, things turned around the more time they spent with each other. They eventually started dating and adopted the sweetest dog, Rosy. Jason proposed in a simple, but beautiful way. They were home together on a Saturday morning and Jason asked Kristine to marry him. I think gestures and conversations like that are so romantic. And Jason did a remarkable job with Kristine’s ring!

We loved getting to know these two in San Diego for their engagement session. We enjoyed a delicious meal (at the cutest restaurant) with fresh seafood to start off our adventure. From there, we headed to Balboa Park. The architecture there is so unique! Ornate facades, Mediterranean tile, a plethora of columns – everywhere you look there is a different backdrop for photos! After some time at Balboa Park, we headed to Sunset Cliffs. I was so excited to see this iconic view! The light was beautiful and I felt so inspired! Plus, Kristine had on the cutest outfit and her shoes were to die for!

At the end of the day, we made our way to Hotel del Coronado to watch the sunset and enjoy a nightcap. It was a delightful conclusion to a wonderful day!

Kristine and Jason, we are so glad that we finally got to meet and spend time together! We had such a nice time getting to know you both – hearing about your childhood and family. We can’t wait to meet you in Maui next year when you officially tie the knot!
