Lauren and Rohan are having a large wedding celebration in Portugal (!!) but Lauren’s sweet grandma isn’t able to make the long trip across the Atlantic. Lauren and her grandmother have a close relationship, so Lauren began brainstorming ways to include her grandmother in her wedding day. The result ended up being a quiet SF City Hall elopement with grandma as the witness. It was perfect and so sweet to watch all of the little moments unfold throughout our time together.
I loved Lauren’s loose waves, playful earrings, colorful bouquet and cutout Elliatt Rosa dress. After taking some portraits on the iconic city hall 4th floor balcony, we headed to the check in hall and waited for our turn to sign the license. Grandma was able to perform her honored task of being the witness of Lauren and Rohan’s marriage (unfortunately – no cameras are allowed for this portion of the day. From there, we headed to the top of the grand staircase to the rotunda for the ceremony. Lauren and Rohan exchanged their vows, slipped rings on each others fingers, and kissed with joyous applause as they became husband and wife. I loved watching Lauren’s dad and grandma throughout the day – pinching themselves that they were able to be here for this special day.
The couple excited City Hall and headed out to a celebratory dinner together in the City!
