We had the best time in San Diego with Becca and Michael for their San Ysabel Open Space Preserve engagement session! These two have that positive, feel good energy that must puts a smile on your face. Whether it be getting outside, seeing friends, or playing boardgames, Becca and Michael love making the most of their time together. I only wish we could have spent more time with them! They are incredibly intelligent – and these two are changing the world! They both work in the health care field in the genetics and immunology – trying to cure cancer and anticipate possible ailments that may affect patients in the future.

Michael and Becca met almost a decade ago in microbiology. While they didn’t hit it off right away, Michael eventually won Becca over with his charm and sarcasm. They’ve grown together over the last eight years. They’ve been through long distance, graduations, moves to new areas, new jobs, and all of the stress that comes along with those transitions. Through it all though, they’ve had each other. Last September, Michael planned a trip to Catalina Island and proposed to Becca at sunset. I absolutely love the ring he picked for her! It even has a secret halo of diamonds beneath the solitaire.

We had one full day with these two in San Diego and crammed in so much goodness! They were the best tour guides, showing us all around the area and the tiny towns that surround it. We started our visit off with tacos by the beach. So. Many. Tasty. Flavors! From there, we took a road trip to San Ysabel Open Space Preserve for the majority of their engagement session. Becca wore the most beautiful dresses! That evening, we watched the sunset on Torrey Pines beach, and capped off the night with incredible garlic fries! I feel like those fries are worth a trip down to San Diego right now… It was such a good day!

Becca and Michael, we had such a wonderful time getting to know you both! We love the way your personalities balance each other out and I think you’re the perfect pair! We really enjoyed hearing all about your careers – talk about a power couple! Cant wait to see you both again on your wedding day! Hugs!
