Sarah and Kevin’s wedding was the perfect representation of them – laid back, beautiful, heartfelt, and lively! What began as a few flirtatious Slack messages and hot yoga, blossomed into something extraordinary (during a hard time for so many – the pandemic). With the opportunity to shelter-in-place together – and with each other’s families – their relationship blossomed quickly, and soon they were planing for their private estate wedding in Atherton.
Sarah prepared for the big day surrounded by cherished memories in her childhood home. The morning was filled with laughter, a quiet excitement in the air, and light streaming through the wall of gorgeous windows—a photographer’s dream. Sarah was the epitome of elegance, wearing a strapless gown adorned with delicate floral appliqués. Her hair, pulled into a graceful bun, revealed her natural beauty and timeless style. It was a look that felt both classic and effortless, capturing her spirit perfectly.
The ceremony took place on the expansive front lawn of a family’s estate—a property rich with history, where many family members before them had tied the knot. The air was filled with anticipation as two family members serenaded the guests, setting the stage for Sarah and Kevin to exchange deeply personal vows (tissues required!). The looks on their faces when they were officially pronounced husband and wife—pure joy and elation—are moments that I know their guests will remember for years.
The reception was full of thoughtful touches and heirlooms, including gleaming silver champagne buckets passed down through generations. A mobile bar trailer served up the couple’s signature cocktails, inviting guests to mingle and soak in the celebration under the cloudless sky. But the night truly came alive when Kevin’s family performed a serenade for Sarah—a heartfelt, choreographed dance to Elvis’s “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You,” complete with wigs and whimsical flowing “rivers” and laughter that echoed across the lawn.
And when the live band took to the stage, the dance floor became a whirlwind of energy. The guests—fueled by the vibrant tunes and the magic of the night—danced with abandon. But it wasn’t over until the most unforgettable finale: a spontaneous pool party! Fully dressed guests flung themselves into the pool, letting loose in a way that felt so fitting for this fun-loving, free-spirited couple.
Sarah and Kevin – your wedding was a testament to your adventurous spirit, your love for family, and your incredible journey together. From the early days of hot yoga dates and long-distance challenges to a celebration that brought everyone together in one place—it was an absolute joy to witness and document. Cheers to you both!
