Patricia and Josh met three years ago during an internship. Patricia packed up her bags and headed to Charlotte for the summer. Shortly after she started, they were introduced by a coworker. After a few dates, they realized how much they had in common – from their values and life goals to their faith. These two keep each other laughing! They are so different, yet the same. They love spending time together – whether it is celebrating the simple moments while cooking dinner or globe trotting to a new country across the globe. They are truly teammates and are each other’s better halves.
Josh proposed to Patrica this past May on a trip to Italy. He had planned a gondola ride and was determined to make this happen in Venice. The rain poured down around them that day and Patricia was hesitant to be on the water, but luckily Josh convinced her that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. When they made it under the final bridge, Josh pulled the ring out of his pocket and proposed to Patricia – raincoat and all. They were able to celebrate their engagement with a small group of family and friends that they were traveling with!
When it came time to plan their engagement shoot, I was inspired by their proposal story. I had always dreamed of photographing at the Villa Vizcaya in Miami. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to continue their Italian-inspired love story! There is nothing else like the intricate details and stunning architecture at this gorgeous villa.
Patricia and Josh, Thomas and I were thrilled to document this piece of your love story. You two are so perfect for each other. We can’t wait to celebrate again with you in February!
