Palak and Sanjeev met on the basketball court during medical school. They were living in Texas at the time. They quickly became good friends and their relationship blossomed from there. Sanjeev moved to Tampa to start residency, while Palak was finishing up school in Texas.

Graduation rolled around and Palak’s sister suggested taking some graduation photos. Palak agreed, and she and her sister went to iconic spots throughout the city. Her sister motioned for Palak to turn around, and look out at the cityscape. After her sister had snapped the photos she wanted, Palak turned around and Sanjeev was down on one knee in front of her. Of course this was a huge shock, for many reasons, but especially because Sanjeev had told Palak that he would be in Miami for the weekend. What a perfect proposal!

We met at Fort Desoto for their session. I absolutely loved their traditional outfits – a sari and kurta. Patal wore traditional bangles too! The details were incredibly beautiful!
