Kristine and Jason waited years to finally have their dream intimate Olowalu Plantation House wedding on Maui – but even the with reschedule – it was worth the wait! This wedding was so special. Kristine and Jason incorporated so many fun details to make their guests experience amazing. Plus, we were in Hawaii! Talk about a much needed vacation for everyone after the past 1.5 years!
Kristine and Jason’s wedding was a formal affair, but still laid back and fun. Their details were sophisticated (clean letterpress and gorgeous diamond jewelry) but the feeling of their wedding was a fun celebration. They decided not to have a wedding party, as their wedding was intimate enough that they could spend so much time with each guest.
As guests arrived for the Olowalu Plantation House wedding ceremony, they were serenaded by an amazing ukulele player and singer. They all ooh’ed and ahhh’ed over the incredible view. The ceremony was officiated by a native Hawaiian man – and he trumpeted a giant sea shell as Kristine prepared to walk down the aisle and again when the couple kissed at the end of the ceremony.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed shave ice and custom cocktails. We were serenaded. We snuck the couple away before the sun set to take portraits with an incredible backdrop of Hawaiian mountains. As the sun set into the water, it was so fun to see everyone enjoying cocktail hour from a distance.
The evening continued with a delicious meal, first dances, cake cutting, individual pies from across the street, and an hour of EDM jams to cap off the evening. It was such a fun celebration!
Kristine and Jason, thank you so much for including us in your wedding day. Thank you for inviting us to Hawaii and allowing us to celebrate with your intimate group of friends and family. I so appreciated your attention to detail and effort you put into making our job easy – google excel sheets and all – you were such a joy to work with! Congratulations on this next chapter together!
