After postponing their wedding twice, this past May Becca and Chris finally got to have their Nottoway wedding! Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! They were able to celebrate the day with many of their closest family and friends. The weather leading up to the event looked ominous – constantly changing throughout the week but landing on rain. Luckily, the overcast skies provided some relief from the heat and the rain held off for most of the day. Just as Becca began walking down the aisle, the rain began to sprinkle down upon us. Guests gathered umbrellas and watched as Becca and Chris exchanged vows. The rain let up as they were pronounced husband and wife! As frustrating as rain can be, it honestly felt magical.

Becca and Chris opted to do a first look before the ceremony and I’m so glad that they did. Chris wiped away his tears as he saw Becca for the first time. She looked incredible in her two piece gown (she removed the extra skirt layer for the reception). Her hair was left down and the gentle waves framed her face beautifully. She has the prettiest smile and Chris certainly knows how to get her to laugh!

My favorite part of the day was the second line – I had never photographed one before! All of the guests followed the band as they hooted, hollered, and waived hankies in the air! The wedding felt alive!

Their reception was held in the iconic Nottoway wedding tent. Guests were greeted with champagne as they entered the tent. With florals and design by Angela Marie Events, it was stunning! The space glowed with candles creating a welcoming ambiance for guests.

The group danced for hours and hours – enjoying late night beignets and celebrating Becca and Chris! It was certainly a fun wedding and everyone had the best time!

Becca and Chris, thank you for being so kind. I appreciated your phone call after the wedding more than you know! We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to get to know you both and your families. We wish you both the best as you start this next chapter together – congratulations!
