Stephanie and Jake are having a Bella Collina wedding next spring and we CAN’T WAIT to be a part of it! For those of you that are unfamiliar with Bella Collina, it is a charming slice of Tuscany nestled into central Florida. For Stephanie and Jake’s engagement session, they were kind enough to travel out to visit us on the west coast and we found a little slice of Tuscany over in Napa for their engagement session at Castello di Amorosa! Of course, we made pit stops along the way – whether it was quintessential views of SF or gorgeous light that made us pull the car over.
Jake and Stephanie met while volunteering as EMTs in New Jersey (good people! Am I right??). They actually both went to the same high school, but didn’t know each other then. During their engagement session, we got to hear more about their time volunteering and the fact that it lead them both to medical careers. Stephanie is a nurse within a cardiac ICU and Jake is in his 3rd year medical school (danggg… power couple!).
Jake proposed to Stephanie earlier this year in Clearwater. It took Stephanie completely by surprise. Her sister was in on the scheme and made sure her nails were done for the occasion. They drove across from Orlando for what they thought was a marketing event for a company. Little did Stephanie know, when she walked on the boat in Clearwater she was in for a surprise! Jake proposed and they celebrated with family and friends for the rest of the evening!
These two were champs as we took them on one of the longest engagement sessions! There are just too many beautiful spots out here in California (and Thomas likes to show them all off). We ventured down to Marshall’s Beach and then crossed the Golden Gate and photographed them from the Marin Headlands. After a quick bite to eat we drove to Castello di Amorosa for the main portion of their engagement session. I loved the outfits that they selected! Jake’s blue button down looked so sharp against his white jeans. Stephanie’s floral dress with off-the-should sleeves couldn’t have been more perfect! The castle and vineyards was truly an incredible backdrop! Beyond that those – these two were so easy to photograph! Just look at those smiles!
Stephanie and Jake, thank you, thank you for making such a long trip for such a short adventure. You two were such a treat and we loved getting to know you both during our road trip! You clearly know how to have fun with each other and we’re thankful we had the opportunity to document that. We’re so excited to see you again and photograph your wedding at Bella Collina in a few months!
