I was so excited to meet Kelsey and Grahame for their engagement session! These two are a dream to work with! Chatting with them during our call beforehand was so easy. Kelsey’s communication style meshed with mine perfectly. It felt like we were always on the same page. Their style was on point (just wait until you see her dresses!). And the cherry on top – they are beautiful people! I was in my happy place during their Mount Tam engagement photos. Mount Tam had been on my bucket list for years and it was so surreal to be on that mountain shooting in that perfect California sun.

When Kelsey and Grahame met, there was a quick, easy going connection. Both from the bay area originally, they had many similar interests (like sports!) and hit it off. For their first trip together as a couple, they ventured down to Carmel. When trying to select a venue, they decided to return to Carmel for their wedding as it was a meaningful spot for them.

Grahame proposed to Kelsey on Stinson Beach and made sure their sweet Labradoodle, Finn, got to be a part of the moment as well. I thought it was really special that you could see Stinson Beach from the top of Mount Tam during the engagement session.

The day of the engagement session, we were battling very intense wind. Originally, we were going to take photos at a beach first, but once we walked to the location, the wind was too much. You could see the sand whipping up into the air around us and we all knew that it wouldn’t be an ideal situation. As we transitioned to plan B, I was so thankful to have a couple that was flexible and understanding. Luckily, the wind was a little calmer on Mount Tam and we were able to capture some really beautiful photos of the two of them. I was truly in my happy place!

Kelsey and Grahame, we are so excited about working with you both! I feel so fortunate that our paths crossed – you two are a dream! It was so fun spending time with you guys and getting to know you better. I can’t wait until we’re together celebrating in Carmel next summer!
