Last weekend Thomas and I hopped on a plane and headed out west to truly take Courtney and Andrew’s engagement photos! We snuck in a mini session in Pleasanton when we were out in California this past summer, but due to scheduling issues, we couldn’t get in a full session. Needless to say, these two pulled out all of the stops for their Marin Headlands engagement session!
Courtney looked stunning in her floor length blue flow-y dress and those blue heels! They couldn’t have matched more perfectly! Her hair was pulled back partially (good thing – because it was windy). Her makeup was natural and fresh to show off her natural beauty.
Andrew wore a double breasted gray suit. He’s got some style! He and Thomas talked clothes and dress shoes for a solid hour the morning of the shoot!
When we arrived at the Marin Headlands we were all blown away by the beauty. The Headlands are right near the Golden Gate Bridge. You drive up these windy roads and at the top, you’ve got a beautiful view of San Francisco. Look to the right, and you can see the ocean for miles and miles. Look further to the right, and there are mountains for days! San Francisco is such a remarkable city and the Headlands were a perfect spot for this engagement session.
Towards the end of the session, we drove down to the beach and all got a major calf workout as we hiked through the sand. The breeze was cool and we all watched the sun set over the water. Courtney and Andrew quickly changed into their second outfit for a few photos just before the sun dipped across the horizon. It was a great day – and these two are adorable! We can’t wait to head back to the bay area for their wedding next May!
