You guys – Sarah and Jason’s Captain Linnell House wedding was such a perfect way to start off our fall season! Thomas and I arrived in Massachusetts on Friday afternoon and we were welcomed with a nice breath of fresh air (as opposed to the crazy humidity and heat that is still torturing us in Florida). We drove to the cape and spent the night in a “tiny house” – which I loved!
The next morning, we made our way to Sarah’s family’s home to meet her and the bridesmaids. The laughter was contagious! I don’t think I’ve ever met a group of girls that laughed so much! Sarah’s mom helped her into her strapless gown, the bodice made with lace, the skirt made of tulle. Her bridesmaids slipped on her gorgeous light blue heels.
Sarah and Jason met at a the Jonathan Young Windmill to share their first look. It was such a sweet moment! For some reason seeing their first look brought me right back to our own wedding – more so than any other wedding in the past. There was so much excitement. So much relief. So much emotion. I was just happy for them!
The wedding party joined us shortly. Dressed in floor length navy dresses, the bridesmaids looked beautiful! The groomsmen were looking sharp in black tuxes.
After the wedding party portraits, we drove to the Captain Linnell House for the wedding ceremony. Set in the backyard, there was a gazebo with a flower arch and dozens of white garden chairs. Guests mingled and hugs were exchanged. Before we knew it, Sarah was walking down the aisle and these two were married! As the ceremony came to a close, the tears started to flow – in the best way!
The reception was filled with so much dancing and laughter! Everyone had the best time celebrating Sarah and Jason becoming husband and wife! At the end of the evening, they exited the reception, running through their guests in a shower of flower petals.
Sarah and Jason, thank you both for including us in your wedding celebration! We had such a great time with you and all of your friends and family! I loved watching you both exchange your vows and walk up that aisle as husband and wife. I hope you two had the best time in Bali on your honeymoon!
