Documenting a couple’s love story is always a treat – I love when we’re able to spend time with our couples on the day of the engagement session and get to know them on a deeper level. For this session – we carpooled with Natalie and Joshua (as we were all in Lafayette) and drove to explore the north bay for their Marin engagement session. In the car, we heard more about their passions, holiday plans, careers, and of course, their wedding. It was a joy to spend that extra time with them!
Natalie, adorned in a stunning blue floral print silk dress, and Joshua, looking dapper in a crisp white button-down, adventured into the mountains in Marin as we chased the sun. These two were so natural together. It was evident how much Joshua just adores Natalie. The way he would sneak in tender kisses throughout the session brought me so much joy. For their photos by the headlands, Natalie changed into a gorgeous dress in the shade of sea foam that had a skirt that would catch the wind.
Their love story began in the digital realm, a pandemic-induced virtual meeting on Hinge. The first date at “The Happiest Hour” in the West Village set the stage for a quick and profound connection. Despite Joshua being a true New Yorker through and through, Natalie’s California roots seem to be calling, and the couple anticipates a move to the West Coast in the future.
Passionate about travel and wine, Natalie and Joshua have explored the vineyards of Argentina, Italy, and Portugal, achieving their W Set Level 1 along the way.
