Julia and Alex have a special spot in our hearts. They reached out to us to photograph their Casa Real wedding just a week before we moved across the country to California. Meeting with them in person just a few days after unpacking was a treat! Their joy for each other is contagious! With the biggest smiles on their faces – we were all ready for their Legion of Honor engagement session!

Julia’s outfit selection for the entire engagement session was phenomenal, but I adored this blue lace dress! The clean lines of the Legion of Honor museum created the most elegant background for the engagement session. I could photograph Alex and Julia all day every day – the way they can make each other laugh is unreal! They are the cutest!

After exploring the plaza at Legion of Honor, we headed over to Sutro Baths for an incredible view. I will never tire of that sight – and to think it is right in the city. The cliffs are incredible, and if the stars align, you can even see the Golden Gate Bridge. The day we selected for this session couldn’t have been more perfect. It was as if we had the whole place to ourselves!

To finish off their engagement session, we drove to Baker Beach. Alex proposed to Julia under the Golden Gate Bridge on a dinner cruise, so it was only fitting that we had some photos with the bridge in the background.

Julia and Alex, thank you both for being such a treat to work with! I’m so glad that your friend set you two up on a blind date. Your happiness is overwhelming (in the best way) – and everyone can see it. You two have the biggest hearts and you’re so easy to talk to. We can’t wait to see you both in August for your wedding at Casa Real!
