It seems like the new wedding trend is smaller backyard weddings and I’m not mad about it! Having a wedding at your home or a family member’s home is so meaningful! This is where you’ve spent so much time – growing up – creating every day memories – and being able to look out on your backyard and remember those vows that you took on a daily basis is so special. This inspiration for an intimate wedding at Ruby Hill took the backyard wedding trend and elevated it to a new level thanks to an incredible vendor team.
This bride wore an off the shoulder gown with a skirt that incorporate layers of tulle. Her hair was pulled back into a low bun with loose waves. She carried a bouquet with whites, greens, and a few burgundy flowers to give it that perfect fall feeling. Hydrangeas, tulips, pierce, roses, ranunculus, and chocolate cosmos. What a beautiful combination.
The wedding ceremony was held in the backyard alongside the beautiful gate that overlooks Livermore valley. The chairs had a unique circular design with an organic feel that blended perfectly with the pampas grass that flanked the aisle.
The reception table by the outdoor fireplace was remarkable with the crushed velvet linen and elegant dinnerware! The florals popped against the neutral elements. Add in a charcuterie board and some champagne – could you ask for anything else?
The modern two tiered wedding cake included an intricate design on the bottom layer that mimicked the beautiful linen that the cake sat atop. The addition of fresh florals completed the cake and incorporated those fall tones perfectly.
I’m incredibly thankful for this vendor team for hustling – and the weather for behaving this day! The AQI was not ideal – this was actually photographed on that day where the sky was orange in most of the bay area – but just in time for the shoot the sky cleared just enough for us to make this intimate wedding at Ruby Hill happen.
