The wedding dress is always a keystone of the wedding day – but sometimes it steals the show and provides inspiration for your whole wedding design. This blue wedding dress from Kate McDonald Bridal did just that – it inspired Kaleb Norman James to design a French blue Kestrel Park wedding.
The French-inspired invitation suite from Grey & Cake set the tone for the day. Delivered in a wrapped parcel, it made the guests feel even more special when they opened the suite. A vintage ring sat in a bevel The Mrs. Box as the perfect accent to the flaylay styled by Kaleb.
This Kate McDonald gown is covered with delicate floral appliques. The blue tone is the perfect touch for something a little different on a wedding day. Our model wore her hair pulled back in a loose bun to show off her delicate circular earrings. Her makeup by Jen Lagers was fresh and clean. She carried a garden-style bouquet filled with lilacs, distant drum roses and spirea.
Under the Kestrel Park entry oaks, the intimate dinner took place. The velvet mauve chairs from Theoni Rentals were the perfect mix of modern and timeless. Candles lined the table, and centerpieces overflowing with lilac sat before each guest. The letterpress menu sat atop handmade ceramic dish ware.
The three-tiered wedding cake mimicked the wedding gown – a soft blue hue with delicate colorful detailing. It was just as delicious as it looked – the perfect ending to a wonderful French Blue Kestrel Park wedding.
