When I received Ashley’s inquiry email, my heart stopped. She sent me one of those emails that is filled with so many wonderful details that you feel like you already know the couple! Needless to say, Thomas and I were both so excited when we received an email a few weeks later with the good news that we would be working with these two for their wedding at the Don Cesar this May!

Geoff and Ashley met just before Ashley was transitioning from Dunedin to Oklahoma City. She had just finished medical school and meeting her future husband was not on her radar, but hey, sometimes that’s the way it happens! Ashley recalled that she wasn’t sure if it was the best or the worst timing (we’ll go with best!), but it was love at first sight. They spent the next four weeks together before Ashley moved out west. They agreed to try and give long distance a fair shot. Almost three years later, we’re all thrilled that they did!

Ashley has the biggest smile and has a huge heart. Geoff has a witty sense of humor and always knows how to make Ashley laugh. Their two lives were brought together in such an unexpected way, but they had so much brining them together.

Thomas and I met up with Ashley and Geoff on the chilliest morning of the year (or, at least it felt that way) in downtown St. Pete. They love St Petersburg, so it was only right that we took their engagement photos in front of numerous St. Pete icons! St. Pete is where they met, and it is where they plan to build their life together. We explored the murals by Central Ave, the Dali Museum, and the park by the Museum of Fine Arts.

Geoff and Ashley, we are so excited about seeing you two again in just two months for your wedding! I loved finally meeting you both, although it felt like we were old friends! Laughing with you two was definitely a highlight of the weekend! Hugs!
