One of the elements I love most about my job is that I’ve found “coworkers” that I love in this industry. As lonely as being an entrepreneur can be sometimes, you soon realize that you’ve got a whole team of people just like you that are on your side! Meeting Caitlin and Alex from Plan It Events (based out of Orlando) has been a huge highlight for us and our business! We’ve teamed up with them for some of our favorite weddings (eek – and another one this year!) and we recently got together for our first styled shoot! This Cypress Grove Estate House wedding inspiration was a dream to photograph – Caitlin and her team made it so easy! And of course, it was gorgeous!
The Cypress Grove Estate House was the backdrop for this wedding inspiration. Our inspiration for this session actually came from the green shutters and clean white facade. We wanted to create an elegant wedding filled with classy and modern details. Thanks to all of the vendors, I believe we did just that!
As you know by now, I’m a papergoods kind of girl. I love the textures. I love the stamps. And I love anything and everything that Andi Meija creates (go follow her now, you’ll thank me later). Her signature is wrapping all of her items in a thin gold thread – which was the perfect accent for this emerald and gold invitation suite. Her signature watercolor as the backdrop of the invitation and a modern font to invite guests to the event was perfect to set the stage for this shoot. And… just to brag on Andi even more. She always comes to styled shoots, which is so fun! I love having her there and watching her style her pieces. It so fun to feel connected to her after meeting her a few times and following along through her instastories! She’s such a gem in this community!
Our bride, Brinley, was drop. dead. gorgeous. (Big thank you to Amanda for connecting us!!) She was also so sweet and easy to work with! Every pose that I threw her way she took like a champ! Her hair was pulled back into loose curls, pinned in place with floral clips. Tiffany from Michele Renee Studio did an amazing job taking this bride’s look to the next level of gorgeous!
Brinley wore a Ines Di Santo gown from The Bridal Finery. This gown was made for this wedding inspiration. The lace, the illusion back with the buttons, and that phenomenal cut was the perfect combination of elegant and modern. Tali from The Bridal Finery helped select the dress for Brinley and she stayed throughout the session to perfect the dress for every photo! She was such a treat!
The reception space was set and styled by Plan It Events. The pieces from RW Events elevated the event with the white and gold chairs, for the guest’s table and the emerald tufted ones for the sweetheart table. Every place was set with gold rimmed plates, gold flatware, a menu and the most exquisite emerald napkins. Flower by Lesley created the centerpieces – overflowing with roses and greenery. Everything that Lesley creates is always beautiful. Her work is consistently on point and I believe she has a style all her own.
The lounge area was set by the water at Cypress Grove Estate. On the emerald rug sat a velvet couch and two vintage upholstered chairs. Atop the marble table from RW Events sat another incredible centerpiece from Flowers by Lesley!
The evening concluded as it always should – with cake! Sugar Sugar created a two tiered beauty – complete with a sugar flower and gold accents. It sat atop an emerald table, and behind it hung a scroll of vows from the couple.
If you’ve read all of this and you’re still with me, thank you! The last bit I want to say is that this shoot was truly the easiest, most stress-free one I’ve been a part of. This team of vendors was incredible and dedicated. As the photographer, we often wear multiple hats. Styling invitations, fluffing gowns, touching up makeup, hauling furniture – all to ensure that we get the best photos possible for the vendors involved. This session was different. It was the first time that all I had to do was take photos. It was incredible. I was able to focus solely on the model, the lighting, and my vision. I could think outside of my box and try something new. There was a team of people behind me ensuring that everything else was just the way it was supposed to be, and it truly allowed me to be in that moment and just connect with the camera. That was a great way to start off 2018, so thank you to everyone!
So thrilled to see this featured on Style Me Pretty – just in time for St. Patrick’s day!
