I was so excited to finally meet Cheyenne and Danny. After a phone call and a handful of emails, I knew this couple seemed super sweet and I have to say, they did not disappoint. We arrived in Tallahassee late Saturday night. They welcomed us into their apartment and we instantly fell into conversation. Conversation about weddings, and of course, all of the video game systems in their book shelves. They must have had a dozen. Thomas was practically drooling with excitement. haha.
We woke up early the next morning and got right to business. Our first stop was the FSU campus, where they showed us their old stomping ground. From there, we headed to one of my favorites venues in Florida, Dorothy B. Oven Park. I love the variety of this historic home and lush gardens. I could spend hours exploring all of the nooks and crannies.
So, now to the good stuff – their story. Cheyenne and Danny were both members of the FSU marching band. Danny played the baritone and tenor sax and she played cymbals (pretty cool, hu?). One day, they were both hanging out in the band lounge. Danny was sitting in a corner while Cheyenne was working on a project with a few girls at a nearby table. Danny had his eye on her, but not much happened that day. A few months later, Danny’s birthday was around the corner and he invited Cheyenne to his 21st birthday party. It resulted in an epic evening in the “penthouse” – and they really hit it off. They began spending time together frequently – and a few weeks later, Danny asked Cheyenne if she wanted to go steady (love that!). Of course she agreed.
Last November Danny had prepared the prefect proposal. On the anniversary of them meeting, Danny set up a scavenger hunt for Cheyenne between classes. He gave her about 15 clues that took her all across campus, and ended with the final clue of a proposal. He gave her the most beautiful ring – love all of the complimentary stones!
We couldn’t be more excited for their wedding in Wyoming! Holy cow – what a dream come true!
