From the moment Kate and Jackson’s Carmel Mission Ranch wedding day began, it was clear that every detail reflected the depth of their story and that so many family members came together to make the day perfect. Their choice of Carmel, a coastal haven dear to Kate’s childhood, provided the perfect backdrop. For Jackson, a Texan with a newfound affection for ocean views, this place quickly felt like home.
Kate was a vision in her Monique Lhuillier gown. After an arduous dress search, fate stepped in—a slightly ajar storage room door revealed the lace masterpiece with sheer, detachable sleeves and a square neckline. Amanda from Laughin Gal Floral crafted a delicate, English-inspired bouquet with blooms grown on her family farm, perfectly sized for Kate’s petite frame.
The couple’s first look, though initially met with hesitation by Jackson, became one of the day’s most emotional moments. The couple wiped back tears and shared laughs as they had the opportunity to exchange private vows before their ceremony.
Family love and support shone throughout the day. Kate’s sister, Maggie, painted the Save the Date. Kate’s Granny sewed the bridesmaid dresses—a continuation of her legacy from Kate’s mother’s wedding decades prior. It was a labor of love! And, Kate’s mom stepped in as head wedding planner (alongside Kate). Together, these two made every decision, worked through every design board, and it came together seamlessly. Still blown away by everyone’s talents!
After the ceremony, the energy soared. As cocktail hour began, guests were treated to a surprise: the Cal marching band awaited, ready to lead a jubilant second line to Mission Ranch. It was a vibrant tribute to their alma mater, and set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
Under warm barn beams, petite lamps cast a golden glow over tables adorned with custom monogrammed napkins as guests enjoyed dinner. Heartfelt toasts from Kate’s dad and sister, along with stories from Jackson’s best man kept the guests laughing. Kate and Jackson’s first dance to “It Must Be Love,” had their guests erupting in applause!
Kate and Jackson, your celebration was more than a wedding. It was a heartfelt journey, a family affair, and a promise of many more adventures to come. We feel so thankful we were able to be a small part of it! Meeting couples like you are why we love this job so much! Thank you for taking us in like family. We love you guys!
