Can I start off by saying, holy cow! Some days I just have to pause and be thankful (well, every day, but some more than others…. 😉 ) . Today is one of those days. Bryant and Pamela invited us to Oahu for their engagement photos! I did a bit of a double take when we met them for the first time and they mentioned they were moving to Hawaii in the next month. (I’m sorry, what?!?) Needless to say, an engagement session in Hawaii was in store and we were so excited about the upcoming trip! Their Manoa Falls engagement session was absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to share more with you!
Pamela and Bryant met while they were in residency in California a few years ago. They spent some time getting to know each other during a team building hiking weekend, and the sparks flew. Although they didn’t start dating right away, they knew something special was there.
Bryant proposed to Pamela (with the most beautiful ring, I might add) in Chicago about a year ago. Walking along the river, Bryant asked Pam to dance with him, as a guitarist was playing. Pam paused, and agreed. At the end of the song, Bryant got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
After a few months of engagement, they decided to pack their bags and move to Hawaii for a few years. I have to say, I really admire that about them. Not many people are willing to pack up their life, leave their family and friends, and move to a new place – let alone a place that is far away and pretty isolated. But, these two are adventurers and gave it a shot!
We loved exploring Honolulu and Oahu with these two! We took a few photos of them and their sweet pup, Luna, on Pounder’s Beach near the North Shore. The next day, we explored Manoa Falls (where they filmed a few scenes from Jurassic Park) for their engagement session. You have to check out the photos – aren’t they the cutest?
Pam and Bryant, thank you so much for inviting us to your new home! We loved spending more time with you two, hanging out with Luna, and enjoying all of the delicious food! Oahu is so gorgeous and I hope you two soak up every minute there! You two have such a fun-loving relationship! I love the sense of humor you two share! Can’t wait to see you in December!
