Brandi and Evan are awesome. These two are high school sweethearts – the story of how they met is adorable…so I’ll start there.

It was finals week in 2007. Everyone was sitting in the courtyard between exams, cramming those last minute formulas into their heads. From across the lawn Brandi saw a sunbeam pouring down onto a guy. In that moment, she knew she had to meet him. She was sitting next to her best friend, leaned over and whispered, “Do you know that guy?” Luckily, her friend did know Evan. A few group get together’s later, Evan asked Brandi out and they have been together ever since. It really doesn’t get cuter than that!

Fast forward a few years and after a proposal in their new house these two are getting ready to tie the knot. Brandi says that Evan brings out the best of her, and helps her see the silver lining in all of the “grayer” situations that pop up. Evan describes Brandi as the most selfless and caring person he knows. After meeting them twice (the first time for dinner!), I can say that is true – Brandi has a heart made of gold.

For their engagement session, we met up at Bok Tower Gardens, one of my favorites places in Florida. After having to reschedule 3 times, the weather finally behaved for us and we got some gorgeous light. I loved getting to know these two better and hearing about their recent adventures and of course, hear an update on wedding planning. Their wedding is this October at Barrington Hill Farm – and Thomas and I are so excited to celebrate with them!
