Brittany & Andy: An Art Ovation Hotel Wedding

December 20, 2018

Brittany and Andy are the sweetest couple. Leading up to the wedding, Brittany and I would exchange numerous all cap text messages exclaiming our excitement to see each other again! When we arrived in Sarasota for their Art Ovation Hotel wedding Brittany gave us the biggest hugs!

The couple sent out beautiful floral watercolor wedding invitations. Envelope liners and beautiful calligraphy to boot! I was in heaven! To top it off, Brittany had a monogramed, turquoise Mrs. Box to show off her ring! Dang I love brides who loves the details just as much as I do!

Brittany wore a beautiful lace gown from BHLDN (my favorite!). The illusion back was beautiful – and the buttons running up were the perfect accent. Her hair was pulled back in a messy low bun. Her makeup was sophisticated and smokey. Her mom helped her into her gown – and so did Juniper their corgi (go follow her on instagram)!

Before we knew it, we were ready for the first look with Andy! Andy looked sharp in a navy suit and a Rifle Paper Co. floral tie! I’m obsessed!

Juniper joined us shortly after the first look for portraits and it is safe to say she was definitely the guest of honor! She had numerous outfit changes – from “dog of honor” bandanas to flower collars – it was a tough day for her but she powered through it to ensure we could get some beautiful portraits.

Brittany and Andy exchanged vows on the rooftop of the Art Ovation Hotel. The poolside ceremony was beautiful as we looked out over the Sarasota skyline. The light blue bridesmaids dresses flowed in the wind as Brittany and Andy exchanged personal vows as well as traditional ones – just to cover their bases.

The reception took place in the ballroom of the Art Ovation Hotel. Little nods to Juniper were everywhere! The seating chart, the drink signage, cocktail napkins, drink stirrers, and even sugar cookies were in the shape of corgis or had Juniper’s precious face on them! No detail was overlooked for their reception.

One of the highlights of the evening was Brittany’s dance with her father. The music began and “Butterfly Kisses” played over the sound system. After a chorus, the music suddenly stopped and the macarena came on! Brittany’s mom joined them on the dance floor as they danced through the decades. The rest of the evening passed in a flurry – as guests danced the night away. Andy and Brittany excited through a sea of bubbles into their getaway car – a Tesla Model X!

Brittany and Andy, we love you guys! Thank you for being such a joy! We truly felt like guests at your wedding and loved spending the day with you both! We’re so thrilled that we had the opportunity to be a part of your day and celebrate. Here’s to many more adventures together in the future!
