Alex wanted to plan something special for his wife Tammy for their one year anniversary. They both love sailing, so he came up with the amazing idea to surprise her with an anniversary session on a sailboat – what an awesome gift! (Hint hint to all of the other husbands out there…)

We all met up a few minutes before we set sail from the Vinoy marina in downtown St. Petersburg (shout out to Sailing Florida). As we headed towards the boats I asked them how they had met. They were both violinists and had met in orchestra. They soon started dating. Add in a proposal involving Tammy’s dog and here we are – celebrating one year!

I heard all about their wedding that took place in Texas – it sounded absolutely breathtaking! They moved to St. Petersburg shortly after their wedding for their careers. I guess St. Pete isn’t so bad after all, hu?

We enjoyed a sunset sail around the bay and I was so thankful for such a unique opportunity. We all enjoyed our time on the water, celebrating their anniversary and soaking in the sunset. The perfect ending to a weekend!

Tammy and Alex – thank you so much for inviting me along on this adventure! You two are absolutely adorable and I loved getting to know you both! Cheers to many more years of love in your future!
