After lots of back and forth – our schedules finally aligned and we were able to head north for Nick and Dana’s Alaska engagement session! We did a mini session with these two back in February when Nick was in town, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add a pin to our map and explore Alaska with them! Nick was an amazing host and planned a few day trips for us – one to Seward and the other to Talkeenta. Beyond the logistics, he also makes a mean pour over coffee and breakfast sandwich! Very impressive!

Unfortunately, the weather decided not to cooperate while we were there, but, we still had an amazing time together! I had never been to Alaska before, so I was definitely overwhelmed by the natural beauty and wildlife. We saw so many eagles, a moose with two babies, and even some whales! What an incredible weekend!

With two days of road trips, we had the opportunity to learn so much about Nick and Dana. Nick is a renaissance man with many interests! Between sailing, skiing, and preparing for marathons, he keeps himself busy! Dana’s time is occupied in med school – she’s currently doing a rotation in San Jose with an internal medicine practice.

The last morning of our trip, the sun decided to cooperate! Luckily, these two were willing to spend a few more hours with us as we took photos by the local pond. I still can’t get over the beautiful landscape, and that those views are just a walk from Nick’s place!

Dana and Nick, thank you for letting us crash your weekend! I know how valuable your time is together, so it meant the world that you were willing to show us around! We had an amazing time! Let the countdown begin for our time together on Chappy! 😀
