Elizabeth and Tucker have started a tradition in recent years – between Christmas and New Years, they head down south to Palm Springs. This is a great way to transition between the holidays and get some quality time together, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Palm Springs is a fun city with many nods to mid century modern style. Many of the hotels have iconic decor and it is truly an experience staying on the property. This year, Tucker and Elizabeth invited us to join them and capture this tradition as part of their Palm Springs engagement session.

These two met while at business school. Through mutual friends and mutual projects, a relationship grew. Now, these two live in the city and are a power couple! Elizabeth founded her own vegan snack company and Tucker helps revamp businesses that are looking for fresh ideas.

The hotel where Elizabeth and Tucker stay is a beautiful property filled with lawn games, lounging hammocks, fresh lemonade, and aisles of hedges. We spent the morning playing bocce ball, chess and croquette. It was so fun to incorporate some activities into their engagement session that reflected how they would be spending this time, even if we weren’t there.

After lunch, we drove over to Joshua Tree. I had never been and after seeing so many beautiful photos, we couldn’t have been more excited to photograph their engagement session there. Driving through the park was surreal. The large rock formations were beautiful against the pastel sky. Every turn in the road provided another location we could have stopped to take photos. Tucker and Elizabeth were troopers – I didn’t want to stop photographing them!

Elizabeth and Tucker, thank you so much for inviting us down to Palm Springs! It was a trip we will always remember – such a treat – the perfect way to start off 2020! We really enjoyed hearing more about you two and the paths that you’ve followed to get to the incredible spot where you are now. Very excited to celebrate with you two in September!
