I had been looking forward to Stephanie and Nathan‘s Oneida Country Club wedding in Green Bay for months! Wisconsin in the summer is beautiful and this couple could not be sweeter. They are so deserving of one another – and it is clear that they have such a deep respect for their relationship and I know that will continue throughout their marriage.
Stephanie got ready at her childhood home – surrounded by her sisters, friends, and future sister-in-laws. The girls wore lavender robes and snacked on a breakfast feast all morning. Steaming dresses and packing last-minute details left the girls busy all morning. Andrea, Stephanie’s youngest sister and maid of honor, helped her into her A-line wedding dress. The illusion back with lace and buttons couldn’t have been more elegant. Inside the dress, there was a heart sewn inside – a heart made out of her mother’s wedding dress. Stephanie wore Alex’s (one of her older sisters) Juliet cap veil that had floral lace and delicate beading. In her hands, she carried a lush bouquet filled with succulents, white peonies, bud roses, protea, and lambs ear. Tucked away in the side was a monarch butterfly – so Stephanie’s grandmother could be close by all day.
Nathan wore a navy suit with a pale gold tie and pocket square. His thistle and lavender boutonniere was the perfect accent. Nathan has the best smile and is always such a trooper when it comes to getting his photos taken! Beyond that, he was quite involved in the wedding planning – which I loved! Always fun to have a groom included on emails leading up to the big day.
Stephanie and Nathan’s wedding ceremony was St. Willebrord Catholic Church in downtown Green Bay. Father Tom officiated the ceremony, as he was a cornerstone in their relationship as it started in Steven’s Point. Everyone was so thrilled to witness these two become husband and wife!
As we all left the ceremony to head to Oneida Country Club for the wedding reception the rain began to come down – heavily. Stephanie and Nathan took it like champions and continued to enjoy the day! Towards the tail end of cocktail hour the rain let up enough for us to take stunning portraits with the view of the Oneida golf course in the background. It couldn’t have been more perfect! The whole wedding party rallied again as we took another round of portraits outside – I was thrilled!
The Oneida Country Club wedding reception had breathtaking views of the golf course from every table. The room was set up with mauve linens and a variety of mercury votives and centerpieces – some tall, some short, and some garlands that acted as a runner down the table. Mirror chargers and sprigs of rosemary sat at each place. It was a stunning reception space! Next to the dance floor, a myriad of cupcakes were displayed.
The reception began with a toast from the father of the bride and a blessing. It continued with toasts from the maid of honor and best man and soon transitioned into the first dance. I love the way Stephanie and Nathan held each other during their first dance – “Over and Over Again” sung by Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes. It is so clear that they adore each other!
After the rain, the sky delivered the most magical sunset for everyone to enjoy. Guests found their way to the balconies to enjoy the view. It was truly the best ending to a perfect day!
Stephanie and Nathan – thank you for being so incredibly wonderful to work with! I’m sad that your day has come and gone and I don’t have an excuse to see you guys again! I wish you the best as you start this journey as husband and wife together. Marriage is the best and I know that you’ll be a great example for so many that embark on this journey together. Congratulations!
