Michelle is one of my closest friends. It has been such an incredible journey to watch her and David become parents over the last year.

Thomas and I went over to see their new home last fall. They were giving us a tour of each room in their house. The last room we stopped in was the guest room. Michelle looked at me and said, “This will be the nursery.” And I paused, and looked at her….confused. “We’re having a baby!” The my eyes welled up with tears! It is such a great feeling to hear that news from two incredible people!

I got to be a big part of “Baby S’s” journey back in February. Michelle and David were going to have a gender reveal celebration in Orlando, using tubes of confetti to announce the gender. Well, I got to be the lucky individual to check out the ultra sound before anyone else! That was oddly stressful. “What if I can’t tell from the ultrasound? What if I mark the wrong tube of confetti?” I could tell, and I marked the correct tube – Michelle and David found out they were having a baby boy with all of their friends and family!

Just a few weeks ago, I met up with Michelle and David and took a few maternity photos for them. I know I don’t do maternity photos often, but it was fun to document this time in their life. It has been so touching to hear Michelle’s updates and watch her bump grow over the months. Now, the baby will be here next week. We are so excited to meet him! I know Michelle and David will be wonderful parents.
