In the heart of the Marin Headlands, where rugged cliffs meet the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, we finally met Kendra and Matt for their engagement session. The wind also decided to join us – but we made the most of it! Their engagement session, a celebration of their journey from “across the Golden Gate Bridge” to soulmates, captured the essence of their adventurous spirits and deep connection, and it felt appropriate that we took photos on both sides of the bridge.

It’s a love story straight out of a movie – Matt’s frequent bike rides through Sausalito, unknowingly passing by Kendra’s doorstep, foreshadowing their eventual meeting at “The Junction” to enjoy Kendra’s favorite pizza. Bonding over shared passions for backpacking, hiking, and the thrill of the great outdoors, Kendra and Matt discovered kindred spirits in each other during their first date.

Their adventures together have taken them to the far corners of the globe – from the tranquil shores of Lake Tahoe to the bustling streets of Chicago, from the sun-drenched beaches of the Virgin Islands to the majestic peaks of the Eastern Sierra. Whether savoring a fancy night on the town or relishing a simple backpacking meal under the stars, Kendra and Matt find joy in the beautiful “contradictions” of their preferences – Matt believes the dichotomy between the two makes you enjoy each one more.

We can’t wait for their upcoming wedding at Cavallo Point in Sausalito with Dream a Little Dream Events. And as they look forward to saying “I do” this August, surrounded by family and friends, Kendra and Matt know that their wedding day is only just beginning of a beautiful marriage.

Kendra and Matt, I’m so happy that we finally got to meet! It felt like it was a long time coming. With so many mutual interests, I hope that we’re able to carve out time for a trip together – whether this year or in the future! We can’t wait to celebrate you in August!
