What an incredible month we’ve had! A few weeks ago we packed ourselves up and met up with Kerry and Spencer for their Iceland engagement photos (whattt?!). It was everything and more – mostly because Spencer was an incredible tour guide and Kerry lights up a room when she walks in. Together, these two are unbeatable – they are so in love and just enjoy every minute they are together! We truly had a blast with them and the hours in the car seemed to fly by as we discussed families, trips abroad, medical school interviews, bridesmaids dresses, our upcoming move across the country, and everything else under the sun. But before I get any further discussing Iceland, let me tell you a bit more about Kerry and Spencer.

Spencer and Kerry met during their first weekend at Brown as freshmen, through a mutual friend. They were friends in college but they were never super close while at school. After graduation, Spencer and Kerry bumped into each other, serendipity-style, in Massachusetts, where they were both living. It took them a year of back-and-forth to finally grab a beer together, but when they finally did, they knew this was it! They fell in love quickly and easily.

Kerry and Spencer both knew that marriage was on the radar, and it was just a matter of “when” (while navigating Kerry’s medical school breaks). Because of this, they’ve been leisurely planning their wedding for a while. This past November, they decided to tour the Providence Public Library as a potential venue. They loved the location, and of course, got excited as they started thinking about the wedding in more concrete terms, even though they weren’t engaged yet. After the tour, they drove up to Brown to revisit some of their favorite spots on campus. They were strolling around and came to the spot where they first met (the archway connecting their freshman dorms), when all of a sudden Spencer pulled out a ring! Kerry was completely surprised, which was Spencer’s main goal (besides getting the official “yes!”). When they returned home they were welcomed by friends and family which was the perfect way to end the day!

When I received Kerry’s first email, I got chills. She had poured so much of her and Spencer into the message (including their story I shared above). It was hard not to fall in love with them right then and there! She even attached photo of them traveling the globe (Dominican Republic, Iceland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and a whole bunch of US states)! I knew these were our kind of people!

During their consultation they mentioned heading to Iceland for engagement photos. They didn’t have to say much more – we were on board! They had traveled there before, so they had locations in mind that were meaningful to them. They toured us around the country for two nonstop days (it helps when the sun doesn’t set until around 10pm) and we made pitstops along the way. The joy these two share is so apparent. They couldn’t be happier to be together! Kerry and Spencer make you feel like friends instantly! They are welcoming, inquisitive, and easy to talk to. I’m so glad we were able to spend so much time getting to know them in the car (and over tasty meals!). Enough of me chatting… go check out their Iceland engagement photos!

Spencer and Kerry, you know how much I adore you guys! So grateful that we had the opportunity to explore a new country with you both and incredibly thankful for your friendship! You two work so well together (and are so easy to photograph)! We can’t wait to see you again next April for your wedding!
