It is always so inspiring to be surrounded by talented photographers. In a world of competition, it is nice to feel community. Even when shooting side by side or practically on top of each other, the Amanda Watson Workshop Reunion attendees were respectful and amazing to work with. Ten photographers headed to Georgia to reunite after attending the AWWs earlier this year in Texas. Amanda is a down-to-earth, uber-talented, film photographer based out of Oklahoma.
For the last portion of the reunion we all met on Driftwood Beach in Jekyll Island.
The details of the day blew me away. The invitation for the wedding was elegant and simple. Natural textures complemented with perfect calligraphy set the stage for the intimate event.
There was a teepee off to the side, where the bride and groom took some time to relax after exchanging their vows.
The welcoming and comfortable tablescape was inspired by salt in the air and sand between the toes. I loved the seashell runner that was styled perfectly by Posh Petals & Pearls. The centerpiece was filled with eucalyptus and dusty greens. Wax flowers and pink roses completed the piece.
The bride’s hair was styled in perfect beachy waves. Her makeup was natural and elegant. She wore an off-white, layered Carol Hannah gown that fit in seamlessly with the organic backdrop of the beach.
At the end of the day, cake was enjoyed by all! Complete with a unique cake topper made of coral, it was truly a statement piece!
I’m thrilled to see this inspiration featured over on Ruffled! 🙂
