When I received Heather and Mike’s wedding inquiry email and took a peek at their venue online, I had to do a double take. It was so beautiful! Gorge Crest vineyards is located on the border of Oregon and Washington right along the Columbia river gorge… And the views that it provides are breathtaking. I was absolutely thrilled when Heather said they wanted to work with me for their upcoming Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding – I knew it would be a good one!

Mike and Heather met through mutual friends at a brewery in Portland. Although Heather was hesitant leading up to it, after their very first date, they already had numerous dates planned for the next two weeks! They hit it off instantly, spending so much time together and enjoying every moment. Mike proposed three years later at Rialto beach on the Olympic peninsula.

Heather was so organized with wedding planning. She never needed a reminder and was a joy to work with! On the wedding day, she was so calm and collected, despite the heat and unexpected bumps in the timeline (bee stings, anyone?). Heather looked incredible in her dress. The lace detailing was so flattering. She wore her hair pulled back in an intricate low bun.

Mike and his groomsmen were so friendly. His smile radiates and it was clear he was so excited to finally call Heather his wife.

After Heather and Mike shared a first look, they exchanged vows privately. I love that they had this intimate moment together to share their promises and hopes for the future.

Mollie, their sweet black dog, was one of the flower girls for the wedding. She was escorted down the aisle by Heather’s nieces – who were just adorable! Even after exchanging vows before the ceremony, it was so sweet to see how emotional these two got during the ceremony with their friends and family.

Instead of a wedding cake, Heather and Mike opted for an ice cream cart! They had both scooped ice cream growing up, so it only seemed fitting to include that part of their story into the day.

Heather and Mike, thank you so much for including me in your Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding! I can’t tell you the number of times I just had to pinch myself and say “I can’t believe I’m here.” I am so impressed by how you two made the day unique to you – weaving your story throughout the day and incorporating elements that were special to you. It was such a joy meeting you both and your families! Congratulations!
