I had the honor of photographing Viennelyn and Alex’s Filoli engagement session this fall. It was a busy, busy season but these two were so gracious to work with my schedule. I’m so glad that I was able to meet them because they were a joy to talk with and so photogenic! They are getting married next summer in Hawaii and I am confident it will be a beautiful and fun celebration!

Late this summer, Alex planned a private picnic adventure in Half Moon Bay. Viennelyn and Alex had been very cautious during the pandemic, and so Alex felt that an intimate date for the two of them would be the perfect way to propose. He took Viennelyn back to a location where they had spent a lot of time in the past few years – the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. The ocean views are so beautiful there along the steep cliffs. They had the beach to themselves and enjoyed the crashing waves of the pacific ocean. As Alex reached into the picnic basket, he pulled out a stunning pear shaped diamond and proposed! Viennelyn said yes!

Viennelyn has a lifestyle blog and is consistently sharing content around fashion, styling her home, and travel (during “precedented times”). I knew she would have a beautiful outfit for her session, and I was not disappointed! She wore a white floor length dress with flowy sleeves and a pink and lavender floral pattern. I love the movement that it provided! Alex wore a light blue button down with gray slacks. For their second look in the rolling hills of California, they wore neutral tones. Vinnelyn’s lace dress had an asymmetrical hemline and was the perfect outfit for such a romantic setting.

Alex and Viennelyn, it was so fun spending an afternoon with you two! Thank you for being so open to my ideas and inspiring me to play! I wish you both the best in this next chapter! I can’t wait to see what you accomplish together!
