I met Dylan Crossley at a workshop a few years ago, and when she told me she was heading to California and needed a second photographer for a fall Nestldown wedding, I was excited to help her out! Nestldown is truly a “fairytale” venue. The ceremony takes place at the base of a redwood grove. The bride walks down a curved staircase that looks like it is coming straight out of the earth. As the light pours in, it is hard to think of a more romantic place to say your vows. Adjacent to the ceremony location, there is a lake with beautiful light blue water.

This couple opted to have their cocktail hour around the pond at the top of the staircase. Guests mingled throughout the magical property of Nestldown. There are so many hidden pockets of this property – a mini home as if you were Alice in Wonderland, elephant topiaries, a working train for the kids to ride, and even a dragon hidden in the trees.

The dinner was enjoyed on the main lawn. Beautiful peachy-orange centerpieces welcomed the guests to their tables.

Lots of dancing took place during the reception in the wooden barn. Everyone enjoyed the glow sticks – adding more color to this fun Nestldown wedding!
