Stacey and Gabe’s Del Valle engagement session is one that I was very, very excited for leading up to it. I just knew they were going to be great – the energy I felt during their consultation call left me with such a positive feeling. On top of it, we were going to shoot at a park that I had been excited about for years but hadn’t had the opportunity to use as an engagement session location yet.

Stacey and Gabe suggested starting their engagement session at a coffee shop. A lot of their relationship progressed over deep conversations with coffee in hand, so it felt meaningful to incorporate it. And, one of their favorite weekend activities is trying a new coffee shop! We met at Story Coffee in downtown Livermore. The patio wasn’t fully set up due to the pandemic, but we still got some cute photos of them enjoying their drinks and exploring the area.

When we arrived at Del Valle, the views took our breath away. The rolling hills. The green grass. The trees starting to bud. I was on cloud nine as these two laughed with each other and shared so much joy! I loved working with them. It is so apparent that they adore one another. We all cracked up numerous times throughout the day – it felt good to have a belly laugh with new friends.

Stacey and Gabe met through mutual friends at their church a few years ago. Gabe proposed this past December – and even though Stacey knew it was on the radar, he somehow pulled off a surprise! On Stacey’s birthday, they enjoyed a nice lunch in the city (Gabe skipped his fries – Stacey should have known then…), and strolled through a nearby garden. When they got to the Lyon Street Steps, she saw roses and still didn’t realize what was going on. Gabe got down on one knee and asked Stacey to be his wife. Roses in hand, champagne enjoyed – these two are getting married!

Gabe and Stacey, I feel so lucky to be a part of your story! You two put such a smile on my face. The love you share has the perfect balance of lighthearted excitement and deep respect for one another. I can’t wait to celebrate with you at Viansa soon!
